Widder Press Open License Agreement for the Thayathorn Setting

1. Grant of License Widder Press grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use, distribute, and create derivative works based on the Thayathorn Setting and associated game materials for non-commercial purposes. Any such use must clearly identify “Widder Press” and “Thayathorn Setting” as the original source of the material.

2. Commercial Use Any individual or entity wishing to create or distribute materials based on the Thayathorn Setting for commercial purposes, including but not limited to artwork, comics, films, media productions, digital or print games, novels, scripts, and roleplaying source materials, must obtain a commercial license from Widder Press.

3. Licensing and Commission Structure Commercial licenses are negotiated individually based on projected sales, profits, and the intended purpose of the work. Widder Press encourages third-party creative works and will offer very competitive licensing terms to support such endeavors.

4. Attribution Requirements All works utilizing the Thayathorn Setting, whether commercial or non-commercial, must include the following attribution: “Thayathorn Setting is created by Widder Press. Used with permission.”

5. Governing Law This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from this license shall be resolved under Scottish jurisdiction.

6. Derivative Work Approval Any commercial derivative works based on the Thayathorn Setting must be submitted to Widder Press for approval before publication. Widder Press reserves the right to approve or reject such works at its discretion. We also welcome non-commercial derivative works and encourage creators to share them with us, though approval is not required. Unapproved works will not be shared on Widdershins platforms.

7. Definition of Non-Commercial Use For the purposes of this agreement, “non-commercial use” refers to any use where no financial transactions occur, including sales, donations, crowdfunding, or monetized distribution. Any form of financial engagement requires a commercial license.

8. Liability Disclaimer Widder Press shall not be held liable for any legal issues, disputes, or claims arising from third-party use of the Thayathorn Setting. Users of the setting assume full responsibility for ensuring their use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

9. Termination Clause Widder Press reserves the right to revoke this license in cases of breach of its terms or in response to any legal or liability concerns. If a violation occurs, the user will be notified and given an opportunity to rectify the issue before the license is terminated.

10. Amendments and Modifications Widder Press reserves the right to modify or update this agreement as necessary. Any changes will be communicated through official channels and will apply moving forward.
